American Graduate: Let's Make it Happen is a long term public media commitment launched in 2011 with support from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) to help communities implement solutions to the high school dropout crisis. Working with Alma and Colin Powell's America's Promise Alliance, Civic Enterprises, Johns Hopkins Everyone Graduates Center, and The Alliance for Excellent Education, and over 1,000 local partners, the initiative puts faces on the numbers and increases understanding of the risks and solutions.

The African Americans: Many Rivers to Cross with Henry Louis Gates, Jr. is the first documentary film series to chronicle the full sweep of African American history, from the origins of slavery on the African continent, through the arrival of black conquistadors in North America in the 1500s, to the disembarking of twenty slaves in Virginia in 1619, and onward -- through almost four hundred subsequent years of historic events to 2008, when Barack Obama became the United States' 44th President.
